🌶️First Annual chili cookoff

A Day of Fellowship, Flavor, and Fun.

What a joyful time we had at our First Annual Chili Cookoff! From the moment the doors opened, the aroma of simmering spices and savory goodness filled the air — and so did the laughter and love of our church family.

We kicked off the event with games and friendly competition, followed by a delicious spread of homemade chili that showcased the culinary talents of our members. Prizes were awarded for the crowd-favorite recipes, but the real win was the fellowship we shared.

This event was more than just a cookoff — it was a celebration of community, care, and the joy of coming together in faith. We’re so thankful for everyone who participated, served, and stirred up a little fun.

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

♥️ Valentines Dinner: grounded in love

A Night of Fellowship Rooted in God’s Love.

Our Valentine’s Day Dinner was a joyful reflection of who we are as a church family—gathered in fellowship, sharing food, laughter, games, and a devotion rooted in God’s Word. As we celebrated together, we were reminded that Christ is the perfect expression of love—and that our calling is to reflect His love to one another and to the world.

🍲 SOUPER SATURDAY: serving with love

Serving One Another as the Family of God
Souper Saturday is just one of the expressions of who we are as a church family. Together, we prepare homemade soups, baked goods, and baskets of scriptural encouragement for our members who can’t always be with us in person. "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10). Through simple acts of service, we strengthen our church family and reflect the love Christ calls us to share.

🍂 fall festival: a season of joy with SCFWBC

Our Fall Festival event was held on October 18th, 2025, and the Lord provided an amazing day of weather and fellowship. We had a great time with axe throwing, obstacle courses, pumpkin painting, and of course hotdogs!

We hold a big fall event like this every year to celebrate a change of seasons and provide our members of the church and community a safe place to come and have a great time.

🧭 tRUE NORTH VBS: FINDING OUR WAY IN CHRIST

"For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20-21

Our annual summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a joyful, Christ-centered experience where kids and adults of all ages are welcomed., encouraged, and equipped to walk boldly in the direction of God's Word.

🌺 Senior Citizen Luau

Celebrating Wisdom, Fellowship, and Faith

At Stancil’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, we believe that every generation is a gift from God — and our seniors are a treasured part of our church family. Our Senior Citizen Luau is a joyful community gathering where we come together to honor those who have walked faithfully with the Lord and continue to bless our congregation with their wisdom, love, and example.

This special event is filled with laughter, games, delicious food, and heartfelt fellowship — all in a festive, island-inspired atmosphere. It’s a time to celebrate life, share stories, and strengthen the bonds that make our church a true spiritual family.

Rooted in our commitment to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), the Luau reflects our church’s purpose: to glorify God, enjoy His presence, and encourage one another in love. At Stancil’s Chapel, we don’t just gather — we grow together, across every season of life.
